How Ti casts ripples…

splash of plaster on sand ripples
plaster, water, some frames, a couple of buckets and a beach!

Ingredients: plaster, water, some frames, a couple of buckets and a beach!

Pick a part of the beach with ripples you like and place the frames securely on the sand

Mix plaster and water and pour into the frames…

...then pose proudly and admire your work

You’ll need to wait for the plaster to dry, providing a perfect time to explore the beach, have a picnic or enjoy a game of frisbee…

… or there’s always afternoon tea and scones at Poppit Café.

Here are some of my sand-casts drying at Poppit Sands, Summer 2006.

These have now been oak framed and can be uplit by tea-lights.
